No matter who winds up in the five slot, I can't help but feel good about the state of the Cubbie pitching staff. When you have four legitimate candidates for the fifth spot, you really do have an embarrassment of riches in the bullpen.
Right now, I can't complain. We'll see how long that lasts.
I'll put my money on Marshall as the #5 by game one. Or at least I should say I hope that's the case. I actually like him, and see him becoming a Floyd/Danks this year if he's given a continued consistent shot.
ReplyDeleteI really like Marshall as well. You gotta like a 6'7" lefty. He's not exactly Randy Johnson, but he's only going to get better. I would love to see him get a shot at an every-day gig, and would hate to lose him in a trade.
ReplyDeleteWe'll see. We shall see.
